Once I had 9 inches for the base. I had to hold the base on it's side and keep sewing to form the sides.....
still holding...still sewing, with the occasional hiccup of cotton jamming or the machine sewing straight instead of zigzag......only I don't think I am holding it straight enough as we are still going out as well as up...ah well.....
the supervisor is still with me so all is good......
...this is what happens at 10.30, when the machine has jammed yet again, and I say "What am I doing!" for the umpteenth time.....I have to confess there were some extra words in there but we wont go there today!! DH, by this stage, made me a cuppa and said that is enough for one day, finish it in the morning....no way I thought...it is now or never!!! And after another hour, some blue language, some discussion on the pedigree of my sewing machine, some confusion on understanding the pattern, I ended up with this!!!
Ta da!!!!!
I think a photo in the light of day would be better to show the colours properly....it really doesn't look like the pattern in shape, but what the heck, it is an original! Now I have some endy bits to sew in, some holes to hand sew and some buttons to sew on, but that will be for another day...I need my bed now. A very (frustrating) but fruitful FNWF....I wonder what others have been up to....we can have a look over here.
Happy sewing!
Oh well done congrats on your patience and perseverance it looks great !!!
