FNWF

A wonderful night was had last night for FNWF many thanks to the lovely organiser Cheryll!!
Tania setting off on her sewing mission for the night....

Ollie on the couch...not sure what this strange woman is doing...

Someone just decided to read the instructions before starting sewing!! Lol!!

Some cutting and a little sewing on my block..

Oh no!! I didn't read the instructions properly and made 2 centre rows instead of one!!! How typical, now to reverse sew!! Now I know why I didn't have enough bits!! Lol!!

AAGHHH!!! Finger met with fabric cutter...not a good combination, luckily for Tania it wasn't a huge cut! PS This is the opposite side to the cut, wanted blood dripping for effect!! Lol!! A band aid soon fixed the problem! We call them sticking plasters in NZ, isn't it interesting how the same thing ends up with different names...anyway I am digressing!

Progress! Yay!!

Tania trimming her points off, this was how the injury happened as she was cutting across ways instead of up and down - she was trying to leave me space on the cutting board.

Strips laid out ready to sew together...

Ollie is snoozing now....

Not now, he heard his Mum's voice and popped up to have a look!

Sewing happily and what have I done....put the top strip on the wrong way!!! Duh!!! Off to reverse sew now!

Marg dropped in after her SES truck driving training, just in time for desert!

Tania had provided us with meringues, cream and strawberries!! Yum!!

Miss Piggy had two meringues!!! Very nice, they are my favourite food!!

Finished block!! Yay!!!!

Here we are, Tania and I with our finished Crossroads block.
Another very enjoyable (well mostly) and productive FNWF, you can see what the other participants got up to over here at Cheryll's.
Happy sewing!
