Sunbury Quilt Show (Photo heavy Post!!)

I have had the best day.....good friends, quilts to look at, lots of laughs, fabric to buy (I tried very hard not to but what can you do?????).....good food.....new people to meet.........what more could you ask for??
The theme for this show was Old Days New Ways...the stage at the front was decorated in the most amazing way....I don't think I took a photo of the whole thing, I was too busy going after the sewing sayings which I love!!
this was a challenge quilt - the group were given bags of hexies and fabric and were challenged to come up with something using what they were given....this was one such quilt....

part of the stage display...

how true!!!....

another hexie challenge I think!...

Amen!!!!!

How true!!!!! Lol!!

Isn't this amazing??

Love this fabric covered box....

beautiful quilt....

some familar faces......

Peek a boo Marg!!!! Lol!!

I know what is coming here.....I was peeking through the quilt stands.....

Yep, the old me taking a photo of you taking a photo of me trick!! Lol!!

The photo just does not do this justice, there were beautiful golds in here...

Yay a Kiwi quilt!!!! Fabric bought while on holiday in the Land of the Long White Cloud!

Love this little angel!

The call is going out to go for a cuppa....Robyn, Marina and Tracee...

Robyn, Tracee and Elyte......

Looking in to the light sadly so it is hard to see everyone.....me, Elyte, Marg, Tracee, Robyn, Tania, Annie and Marina looking like her halo is all polished!! Lol!

Beautifully presented Devonshire tea....

and the aftermath!!
Some very serious shopping.....

and some more.....

Yes! Yes! Yes! Now I know what has happened to me!! lol!!

Love this one!! Hee!Hee!

I was trying to be sneaky but Tania and Elyte caught me!...

How true!

Annie found a new friend - Joy - they were kindred spirits! I thought they had known each other for ages but they met today!! I think Joy has a wonderful sense of humour and enjoys life. She was happy as two of her quilts sold today!

Mmmmmmmm.....resting..... distracted.....had enough...ready for lunch.....

now we need to round up the others.....

and have some lunch....we adjourned to the Olive Tree Hotel...Tracee's chicken...

Tania and Marg....

the two sillies....

a very salubrious group full of lunch....and posing beautifully.....

Oh no I spoke too soon!!!!
Sue, Tracee, Marina, Jo, Tania, Robyn, Elyte, Marg and Annie.
Thank you for a fantastic day ladies...I had the best time.
