FNWF and more........

I was very lucky to get to go away for this Friday night with friends,  with a group of lovely friends, TraceeMarg, and Tania, we headed off to Margs  holiday home at Echuca on Friday afternoon. We had a stop in Rochester at a wonderful Aladdin's Cave of a quilt shop and came out with some treasures....
much perusing going on - although I think there might be some purchasing happening at the counter.....

look at all this beautiful fabric.....

batiks to die for!!!!

...happy quilters.....

After settling in and doing a little shopping and dinner, we got down to the serious sewing stuff......Underground Railroad Sampler Blocks!!
working away.....

Tracee finishes her Bow Tie block.....(Tracee was a little behind the rest of us as she missed a couple of FNWF's and with work doesn't have so much time to sew but boy did she make up for lost time this weekend!!) We have now christened her the energiser bunny on speed!! Lol!!

I get my Flying Geese block finished...... (YAY!!!!)

and it is only 11pm!!!!! Time to start another block!!

Tania finishes her Flying Geese block

Marg is working away and studying the instructions!

Marg finishes her Flying Geese,.....photo taken on an angle so you can see the time!! Bit after my bed time!! Lol!!
Late, late in the night I decided to get another two strips sewn on my next Aussie Hero's Quilt, I am attempting to quilt as I go with this one but in sideways strips...
And so ended another much enjoyed FNWF...many thanks to our beautiful host Cheryll, you can nip over to her blog and see what other FNWF's have been up to.
Happy sewing.

  1. What a big FNFW and great trip away - your flying geese lock is lovely. At my place we have the same trans -Tasman mix as you do, only one of the two of us at home was happy with the Super Rugby final result and it wasn't me! Have a great week.
