Market Day

Today I was having a stall at the local market - Christmas market, best for the year - here in Gisborne......yesterday we had torrential rain, hail, thunder and lightning, since then we have had drizzly rain and that was what I woke up to today. Marg very kindly offered to help me set up this morning and stay until the other volunteer turned up.....and later Tracee turned up with a hot drink and cake!  Marg later returned and took the other volunteer up to the train station and then came back and helped me pack up........even helped me load the trailer properly so I would get home without losing anything!!!  What beautiful friends I have!!!
It was a damp, drizzly day and not many people around for a while, not the usual December market crowd anyway, but we still did very well and managed to take $581.00 for the orangutans and raised awareness as well!! Feeling happy!!

Now I have balanced the books I am off to sit on the couch with a cuppa and do some sewing on the binding on this quilt....two sides down, two to go!!!
Happy sewing!
