Beautiful day

I am at St Leonards for the weekend.....today I decided to walk to Indented Head to challenge myself......let me tell you it was a challenge......it is about 9.5km DH tells me....had I known that I probably wouldn't have done it!!!!! But I managed and have the blister to prove it!! I took several photos but left the camera cord at home so can't share today!!
The view from the house, I am using the tablet a huge learning experience for me!!
This is the last KOGO blanket I have at present .....have to get to it and sew it together tonight.
Have a great weekend and enjoy the sunshine!

Found my mojo today

As I was supposed to be sewing I kept looking out the window...such a lovely day.....

after procrastinating for two days and thinking it is all to hard (when will I learn!!) I finally got my act together and put the letters on the next Aussie Hero's quilt...do you know I had them sewn on in about 40 mins...when will I learn!! Lol!! Anyway I am happy they are done and now....

I am moving on to the laundry bag...the colours are a bit dark here...the tags are purple not pink...don't think a commando would appreciate pink...but then you never know!!

I also got enthusiastic and sewed together  some left over squares....not sure what for but have used up the squares so that is good.....will join them together when inspiration strikes again!!
Happy sewing!

Mill Rose Swap

This is what I made for the swap at Mill Rose yesterday...the theme was Leanne Beasley..I was heavily influenced by attending the  Barb Smith workshop last weekend..

the finished picture frame painted and stamped,

little stitchery framed...

Theodora Cleave button here....

and here.....plus tag painted and stamped...

and the central stitchery.
Happy sewing!

Out and about

I have been over to visit a friend at Boronia for the last two nights,
yesterday morning I took her dog for a walk to the Arboretum...lovely place with all the trees and gardens....it was a bit wet and overcast.....

this is Basil the Jug.....Jack Russell and Pug cross......very energetic mixture.....

heading past the rose bed....

Basil saying hello......he can jump very high for a little dog!!!...

past the duck pond......I had a good stay, we did heaps of messages and watched old episodes of Inspector Frost in the evening.....

back home now......knitted three baby beanies and cast on another.... for the KOGO collection, they are short of beanies for their baby packs so thought I would do a few...they are so quick to make...

the tiny daffodils are in full bloom in the garden...these are so cute...

and of course the supervisor is never far away..he was happy to see me home!
Have a wonderful day!

Tania wasn't with us today as she went in to hospital on Friday to have her gall bladder removed...the operation was more complicated than expected so she had full on surgery...we called in to see her at Bacchus Marsh hospital on the way home...she is going to be moved to a city hospital when they find her a bed...and will most likely be there for a week....we wished her a speedy recovery from everyone.
Have a great day everyone!
