Final sewing

Today, while skilfully avoiding packing and cleaning, I have sewn my last block at this house...
This was taken yesterday, morning sky looking a bit angry.......

the finished block, which sadly, does not look like block 6 below!!!!

somehow I have reversed something!!

So after some unsewing and double checking...I sewed again....

and finished the block...I have taken the photo on a different side of the block, I was looking at it thinking it was still wrong, but all is ok!! Phew!!

last few days in this house.....

I will miss living here...although I am looking forward to living by the beach!

My sewing desk has never been so empty looking!!!
Ah well life moves on and another phase begins.
Life is as it should be.

That's something that I would do. Looks like you are ready to embrace your new beginning. It is a beautiful home Sue x

I hope everything goes well with your shift. As one door closes another opens! I hope your sewing area will be the first box opened - after the jug and toaster of course!

It's always bittersweet, leaving a home. So many memories. But your new place will have many memories too in time. Hope we get to see you sometimes. vvv

It's a bittersweet time. You are not too far away and will probably be closer to some new friends

I'm sure you will miss your lovely home for a bit, but being by the beach will have its advantages Susan. Glad your block worked out okay in the end
