..starting the zig zag on the black centre part of the peace sign....this took for ever...in fact 2 and a half hours to do the black bits and then around the circle....
the supervisor is......well sleeping and gently snoring!! Sounds a bit like a purr, but we don't tell him that 'cos he is a dog!!!
...all done...
and the back.....kind of a wobbly circle isn't it!! Lol!!
Work has begun in the back yard for the super shed....the supervisor is a bit on edge now, strangers in the back yard and there are builders next door as well...lots of strange noises for him..
and after many hours the quilting is done......I am considering (only considering) quilting inside the circle, maybe a quarter of an inch inside and outside each seam line....on the coloured parts.....what do you think??
Happy sewing.
Heck... I loose track for a few days and find you've moved! The beach looks idyllic. Fabulous place to take the Supervisor for a bit of a plodge in the water. Love your Hero quilt... don't think the circle is wonky at all. Glad you've been making time to sew. Now then... what is the Super Shed and who gets to play in it...... I'm hoping it's for you and your sewing machine ;o)
ReplyDeleteWishing you every happiness in your new home.....xxx
well done with your quilt..... I like the idea of the bit of quilting inside the circle.... great to be getting a nice big shed....

ReplyDeletegreat job getting all the quilting done too.
ReplyDeletethat big shed is going to keep someone happy?
I hope your supervisor can cope with all the interruptions to his sleep time. Looks like you are going great guns on the quilting.
ReplyDeleteAwesome job on your quilt. I just love your supervisor and I am sure he will oversee construction for you x
ReplyDeleteWell done with your quilt. Only quilt the inside of the circle if you think it needs it.
ReplyDeleteAwesome quilt - love your innovative design! I agree with Elyte, only quilt the circle if it needs it.
ReplyDeletedo hope the supervisor has settle down and is snoring gently to the sound of binding being sewn down xx
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt and those colours are just perfect on the black background. I wouldn't over quilt it as quilting just needs to hold the layers together . Perhaps just quilt around the circle shadowing it( even 2 or 3 times if you feel inclined) and along the peace symbol to make it "pop". However, it is your quilt and you need to do what feels right to you.
