Happy Day

I have been down to the St Leonards community space today for sewing and craft group. Some of the ladies were interested in making a 1600 quilt...so we were all to start today but some ladies went off to the Biggest Morning Tea so two of us started in the morning and one after lunch, one is still to get jelly rolls and another didn't turn up.
starting off on the long first seam...

mmm...pile does not seem to be getting smaller down there....

Linda is behind that machine sewing away....

and at 1.30...(we started at 9.30  and had an hour for lunch)..... she was finished...one happy camper!! Lovely colours here...
and this is my effort....Christmas fabric...very happy with the results...one of the other ladies who had been to the morning tea started after lunch and is making hers with batiks! Very yummy!! We went home at 3pm and at that stage she had 2 more seams to do...have since phoned her and she is finished and very happy!! So a happy day all round!!
Happy sewing.

  5. It is a great idea. Very quick too. If you do a pastel pallet you can add an appliqué of something. Very good job done.
