Success!!!!!

After a day of putting in screws, following instructions, well trying to....unscrewing the screws, taking one side and the back off -  I put a shelf in back to front, and then upside down and the doors wouldn't close ......back to square one!! A cabinet maker I will not be!!! Anyway I am happy to say it is all together and finished!!!
...first cabinet finished just before lunch....

next one laid out and drawers started....didn't take any photos of the undoing...being positive!! Lol!!

WooHoo!!!! Two cabinets finished...it is now 4.20 pm.....one of the drawers doesn't close completely but I am ignoring that.....

and then at 6.45pm I finished the little filing cabinet...it is actually white the same as the cabinets....it was supposed to sit between them but has been put on one end, when the furniture comes Wednesday some reorganising might happen!!

Ta da!!!! A weekends work...but very happy with the results...now to fill them up!!

This is a quilt made by someone who belongs to the Geelong Patchwork and Quilting Guild....one person made it, another quilted it and volunteers were asked to do the binding...actually the binding was sewn on, just needed the hand sewing, was happy to do that last week. This quilt will go to the Children's hospital eventually. Isn't it a lovely quilt.
Happy sewing.

  15. Hello Sue,

Filling the cabinets will be the easy part, putting flat packs together is a heck of a job. Love the involvement in the quilt. The children' hospital will certainly appreciate it.

    happy days.
