Back home again...

...boy it was a cold night last night!! Had to load an extra quilt on the bed to keep warm....it doesn't usually get this cold here...not that I have experienced before anyway...have to show you an update on the hexie quilt...
have added to the right handside and it is looking a bit more together....still a lot of straightening up to do but I am slowly getting there....
I am linking up with Anthea at Hibiscus Stitches and her Piece Yourself Together link up of all things EPP.....
...I had  a go at some foundation piecing for the Sylvia's Bridal Sampler quilt...

..have managed to chop off the top corner with the gray, not sure if they will sew together ok, but will try later today and see what happens, otherwise we put this down to experience and start again!!
Off back to the car dealer today to finally (I hope) for the clutch to be fixed!!
Happy sewing.

your hexies look great... we did some foundation piecing yesterday and there was a fair amount of reverse sewing ... trimming off the wrong things etc.... what is that block called? is it the Amethyst one... I want to do that next ..

I have spent 2 days doing some foundation piecing. It is challenging and I get lots of corners chopped off. Luckily they are hidden in the seams

Great hexie quilt. I agree that the dark background really makes the flowers stand out.

Love the dark surround on your hexies and I have also chopped off the wrong bit when doing foundation piecing. So frustrating.
