I made it for a swap earlier in the year but couldn't swap it as I realised there was a smudge of paint on the left hand side...now it will go on the wall in the sewing room and stay with me...
I made the Diamond Friendship block for Sylvia's Bridal Sampler.....I cut it as per the instructions but the triangles looked too big...ah well I have sewed them on anyway, now it needs a good press and a trim to the right size...then we will see how it looks.
It was lovely to see the sun rising this morning, although it is now raining and gray again...
I had a lovely surprise in the mail yesterday from Diane of the Cheshire Quilter.....she has been very busy coming up with ideas and making things for the sales table at her quilt group, and has been sending me some foundation piecing patterns she has been doing...this time she sent these....
two lovely zippered purses....
filled with tea bags! How nice is that! Thank you Diane, that was a really wonderful surprise!
I am off to the Geelong Patchwork and Quilting Guild meeting today, one of the local sewing machine dealers is the speaker....he is going to answer questions on problems people are having with their machines!
Happy sewing!
