Playing around...

...a few days ago I was reading Fiona from BubzRugz blog and saw she was starting work (with friends) on one of the Elm Creek Quilts books, Sylvia's Bridal Sampler.....I commented that I had that book too...and got invited to join in...I ummed and ahhed for about 5 seconds and then said Yes! Great idea! So tonight I got out the book and made the Bright Hopes block...is my first attempt at foundation piecing......I had a lesson on the basics from Tania last weekend.....it isn't perfect but I am happy with it.
this is the book.....

and block number one!! The light is not so good in here tonight will take another photo in the daylight.
Happy sewing.
