"Cos I'm happy.....

...oh yes I am....yesterday a parcel turned up in the mail, something I had been resisting for a while but then caved in...
...all the way from the UK...

...yes I am joining the Ripple Blanket brigade!!! Love the colours in this bag....and the pattern from Attic 24, Lucy does the most beautiful crochet! Not sure when this will be done , but I have the wool for when the urge strikes!!! Lol!!

ALSO...another package arrived in the mail today......a surprise...from the lovely Ondrea...a while back I surprised Ondrea with a pincushion/caddy....here although stitching it has caused a few headaches for Ondrea.....and today she surprised me with something that needs no stitching, just wearing with joy!!!
Isn't this beautiful...thank you so much Ondrea, I love it and yes you did surprise me!!! Have been wearing it today!!
This afternoon (late) I produced these
with many thanks to  Jo who sent me a link to make 8 half square triangles at a time......worked a treat, now I just need to trim them.
This morning was sewing at St Leonards and Cathy brought in her Chooky quilt to show us...last time I saw this Cathy was hand sewing each chook
how cute is this???

and here is the quilt....

love this little chook.....Cathy has a new sewing machine and is very proud of her in the ditch quilting and then went on to make a table topper.....

......to try out different stitches on the machine. Didn't she do an amazing job??
Had better go and organise dinner...
Happy sewing.

  2. I am so glad you gave the half squares triangles a go. I do this way all the time and if there are left overs I put them aside for another project. Love the wrap. Good luck with the blanket. Always good to have on standby
