Happy day

It was sewing day over at Barwon Heads with the Seachange Quilters group, there was a class in Free Range Quilting happening so I got there nice and early and got set up.  There were about 16 of us plus a couple of others just looking and taking notes! I learnt some new FRQ patterns which was good. When that was finished I was asked to help one of the other ladies there to set up her quilt on the long arm quilter.....no hesitation on my part!!
the setting up is happening.....

some not very easy to see quilting...lol!!!..

part way through here.....

Miss Poser at the machine!! Jan who I was helping did the first row and I was the gofer and then she said..come and have a go now, so I did, and had a great time, did the rest of the quilt...and as there are two Quilts here I am two thirds towards being able to use the machine...under close supervision of course!! Very exciting for me!! I had a few square curves but luckily not too many!
On my way home I went to Black Rock Road in search of a cache...what am amazing place
apparently this area used to be the edge of a volcano.....the sea was pounding in on the rocks...there were little rainbows in the sky...was so good to be standing near the edge!!
The I went back to Ocean Grove to look for another cache....
I parked in the wrong place and had to walk about 700m to the right spot...but that was ok, it was great walking along above the beach...took me a while to find the cache, but when I did I felt a bit silly as I had my hand near it all the time, just couldn't see it!! Was a busy place for walkers so was in a hurry to find it, sign it and get it back and not to be seen.
Happy sewing.
