Walking, walking.....

We have seen a tower/lighthouse on a point not far from Polzeath so thought we would go investigate today. We had to drive about 10 miles on narrow windy roads to get to Padstowe....then had to navigate the one way system (lucky it is a small town) to go back and fnd a parking space...then off we went....

Padstowe Harbour...

And again, this is the inner harbour, lots of  boats are out on the mud flats as the tide has gone way out...outside the harbor walls...

an old house I liked..

and off we go..the path follows the contours of the land, so sometimes it feels like you are walking miles and not getting anywhere. We went up a road, past a farm after asking directions, and then walked along the headland...much up I might add, hubby suggested I sit and wait for him at one stage but I was determined to get to the tower even if it took me much longer than hubby. The wind was howling past us when we got to the top, but it was worth it....the beach in the background of the previous photo is Polzeath, where we started from..
ta dah!!!! Don't  know what it was used for and it is old....but we made it!!

amazing scenery....

proof I was there!! Lol!! Heading off for lunch now....hot chips I think with salt and vinegar!!! Yum!
