...and I have managed to do some sewing.......Annie had a sewing cushion last Saturday, one I have liked for a long time.....the Port sewing group were going to have workshop, but haven't heard when yet.....so this afternoon I decided to just go ahead and make one...it is known as a Star Fruit cushion. ....I have used 6 inch squares....
these are the fabrics for the top..only had to unpick once when I realised I had made a mistake on one of the seams....
I have decided to try and put pockets on the side...just a little added challenge!!!
side pieces being added to the bottom....
Ta dah!!!! Finished.....the only problem is that I think I have made it upside down because
I think this is the side you work on.......
If so then the pockets are the wrong way around!!!! Ah well, I tried and maybe I will just use it upside down!!!!
Happy sewing.
so glad you have had a productive day .. and sunshine as an added bonus x
ReplyDeleteYour new cushion is lovely Sue - either side up. I am eyeing up that fabric you have to the side ... I think it says Keep Calm & Sew on - Love it.
