Out and about and EPP

Today I have been to Sunbury and back.....and luckily I missed most of the storm that dropped all over Geelong!! Only a few spits of rain as I neared Corio.
storm clouds up ahead

here they are heading off towards Werribee and Point Cook
I heard 17 people were rescued from their cars during the flooding, not what you expect to hear in the city of Geelong!!
Today I posted of an Aussie hero quilt
the request was for waves and beach....I hope the recipient likes it! I also sent 6 knitted square blankets off to KOGO, they had been finished for a while, so I finally got them in the post. They will be off to new homes very soon.
When in Sunbury I snuck a photo of Karen's dog Zac....sound asleep in his bed...he is 4 months old, but...

the minute Karen turned on the hair dryer Zac was there on my knee, waiting for his turn!! He is a funny little boy, loves having his hair dried!! Lol!!

This week is link up time with Anthea over at Hibiscus Stitches...celebrating all things EPP over there...I am attaching 7 black hexie flowers to my hexie quilt, last night I sewed them on one side, tonight I need to sew on the other side.

and I have also been busy with some secret sewing...getting a little closer to a finish!! Yay!! Well it is G & T time for me I think, no storm damage here thank goodness!!!
Happy sewing.

  9. Wow, you had a busy time of it on Tuesday! I do love your hexagon quilt. I guess the good thing is someone in Australia got some rain. It seems to alternate between being dry as a bone with fires and flooding!
