Phew!!!

It is hot in the sewing room today...no breeze is getting in there so I am giving up for the day and going to the beach.  Last night I made a little wall hanging
it is from a book called Scandinavian Style by Trine Bakke. She has some little wall hangings or waste not wall art as she calls them and they use up odd bits and pieces of fabric...I decided to try a Christmas one with Barb Smith buttons. it is a little bigger than in the book, but they were the strips I had left over. Just needs the opening hand sewn now.
I also had a go at another hexie block but decided to sew it on the machine
quite happy with this one....not quite so loud!!! Now I need to decide on a backing fabric and get the blocks finished.  More to do next month!!
Today I have prepped another hexagon block ready for sewing
I am trying to incorporate some Kiwi fabrics in this project that have been sitting in the stash for a while. Well I had better go and make the bed, I washed the sheets today so had better fix it up, nothing worse than going to bed at 10pm and finding the bed unmade!!! Then off to the beach.
Happy sewing.

  1. In northern Japan, we are in the middle of a blizzard and -6 degrees C. Good weather for staying inside and stitching! I like what you are working on. I love that orange fabric!
