miserable looking day!!
But I am happy sewing away....
watching/listening to Love Actually....
Love Rowan Atkinson gift wrapping!!
I knew there was a good reason for having the island bench!!! Perfect for putting the layers of the quilt together!!! Just the right height so I am not bending!! Now for some quilting inspiration!!
In the meantime I have succumbed, and finished off a pin cushion...then I found some left over squares, so what was I to do????
Happy sewing.
Quilt looking good, it's coming together....happy putting together!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes! Great idea to use those squares on! Pretty colours too :)

How lucky to have got some rain! It has been raining up here ad well, but not at our place, soon, hopefully.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a busy person with your quilts - I do love what you are doing! and you can never have enough pin cushions either!
Oh how funny.
ReplyDeleteI watched LOVE ACTUALLY in my sewing room this week too., I love it.. Makes me laugh & think.....
The rain was nice...
We've had two days of heavy snow falling (so far)! Just as good as rain when it comes to a reason to stay inside and stitch.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue,boy we didn't get any rain,we had a funny day it warmed up here in the afternoon, glad you had a lovely sewing day my friend xx
ReplyDeleteWe are still hopeful....dark clouds delivered nothing! I love that movie too. Perfect for a rainy day and stitching x
ReplyDeleteIt was wonderful to have all that rain but it certainly made it a staying inside dat. Lovely sewing.
ReplyDeleteRainy days are my favourite. Especially when you can stay home and sew.
ReplyDeleteyour kitchen island bench/pinning table/cutting table is wonderful.... so lovely to have a wet day and a good reason to sew and watch movies...
ReplyDeletewe all know where to send odd charm pack squares

It was rather dreary here too and so humid. Great idea using your bench. I did that only once that I can remember. I think you need to visit Pincushion Makers Annonymous.
ReplyDeleteI always get distracted by scraps. It drives me crazy sometimes because then I don't get my project moved forward! Your finished quilt looks great!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a very good day, not bothered by the weather at all.
ReplyDeleteGreat way to spend a wet day Sue. Was lovely to get some rain
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! More pincushions! We're having those same kinds of days in Knoxville. Fortunately, there were a couple of sunny ones in between the snowy and rainy ones, and it warmed up a bit this weekend! I love that island counter that's perfect for your Aussie Hero quilt layouts! BTW, I think you are right about the origins. It sounds to me like everyone responded enthusiastically over there, though.
