On the road again!!

I spent a few hours in the morning quilting on the Samoa Quilt...which was a challenge from Tania in the Gisborne group, which was unveiled last August!! Yes I am running a bit behind!!!

I love how the flowers pop when you quilt around them.....9 done too scared to count how many more there are to do!! Lol!!

Yesterday afternoon I drove up to Gisborne to catch up with the Gisborne quilting ladies, we had dinner at the Telegraph pub, the food was great and the company wonderful
sadly Pauline had already left so we missed her in the photo.
I worked on some hexies for the New hexagon quilt
there are supposed to be three hexies of one colour and three of another colour..I didn't read the instructions properly, so I have six of the same colour!! Woops!!!
Today I drove back to Port Arlington and caught up with the lovely ladies there, I got some instruction on how to get my seams matching up...failed miserably...so some unpicking needs to be done, but I have some blocks on the way for the next Aussie hero quilt...they look ok if your don't look too close!!!
tomorrow will be unpicking and re sewing day, and also I need to get some more quilting done...never a dull moment around here I can tell you!!!
I nearly forgot, I have started on some more hexies for the hexie quilt...some flowers are going to be multi coloured as I have odd hexies left over....better than not using them I decided.
Well had better away, the chicken is roasted and the veges done, I need to make gravy before it burns!!!!
happy sewing.
