Visitors

Today there were some visitors to St Leonards and we met down the street for a cuppa...on the way I saw these amazing cloud formations
Isn't that amazing?? I drove down to the shops to check if the visitors were waiting for me,

they weren't so I went down to the jetty to get another cloud photo but of course by then it had changed and moved, still looks spekky though I think. I went back to the shops and to the coffee shop where I was meeting the visitors only to find it closed.....mmmmm...no visitors so I nicked in to the  newsagents, as I was paying for a magazine, my phone rang and I could see the people I was meeting outside the door!! Guess who it was??

Yep, Jo and her hubby Tony. They are visiting family in Clifton Springs, so were able to come over for a while this afternoon. We had a great catch up in another cafe, then they came home to meet the Supervisor, who I must say was not very friendly!!! Was wonderful to spend time with them both!

Later in the afternoon I found these in a basket, I was working on these before we left Gisborne and they have been languishing in a basket, so after a little sewing,I had

these. One day they will all be joined together, after I sew some more together. Now I had better go and check dinner!
Happy sewing.

  1. Your gorgeous beach photos always make me green with envy. I can just imagine walking the Supervisor along that beach. As long as he was feeling friendly that is. Love the blocks you are working on. Postage stamp quilts are one of my favourites. Are you hand or machine piecing? Glad you had a nice time with your friends... once you'd found them!

  9. That sounds like a perfectly lovely day! Natural beauty, a visit with friends and then great sewing time. Couldn't ask for more. I always love blocks with lots of little squares, but I don't think I ever made any 64-patches!
