Busy day

today, I have been packing and unpacking and finding places for things to go in the new sewing room
only just beginning, there is a long way to go.....
view from the dining table, there is a new path and set of steps over the road from us, so we have excellent access to the park and  beach now

the ducks have waddled over to look out the window

back garden, I fogot to take a closer photo but Ethel is settled in on the left hand side

and for you Ondrea, my get on with it reminder person, the clamshells joined together so far

the next lot tops turned over ready to be glued in rows

and fabric ready to have the shape traced on and cut out. This will be my thing to do when we are visiting my mother in NZ in a couple of weeks. Hope to do some on the plane too if they let me take the needle on board!!
Off to sort some more boxes!
Happy sewing.

Needles on planes isn't a problem, I have flown to Hong Kong and Townsville and stitched both ways.
I took the clover cutter to Hong Kong and plane scissors bought at the quilt show to Townsville

Good to see your sewing room happening.
Our truck is on its way. All goes in tomorrow. We are exhausted.
Have fun with the moving....

Love your clamshells hehehe. Well done! Your new sewing room looks good, a bit roomier than the last one? Love your view. I had no problem carrying a needle on board when travelling overseas. Just make sure you have blunt nosed scissors or take an old dental floss packet to cut thread.

Looks like a beautiful new home with a gorgeous view and loving the backyard too! Lots of room for one chow chow!
Loving your clamshells and pretty charm packs to add to the mix.
Mine are going to be my plane project too. We may both end up with a holiday clamshell quilt?

you are doing well getting the house all settled. How lovely to be so close to the beach. I haven't heard of people having trouble with a needle on the plane - just the scissors!
