Leaving Canberra on Monday morning....6.45am and chilly but beautiful sky.
We stopped in Wangaratta for lunch and had a look at the rose garden
the roses are beautiful and the perfume amazing!
And so back home
I had some help yesterday hanging out the washing!! Not!!!! Lol!!
the many tomatoes are growing well, one day I will brave the mosquitoes and tie them to the stakes
this beautiful geranium is flourishing down the back
new garden bed has gone in and now has lettuce, snow pea seeds, corn seeds and beetroot
such a lovely afternoon, the fig tree is in full leaf now
we have another new resident!! I thin he might be called Errol....he is smaller that Ethel and his colour doesn't show up as much so might think about painting him....
I called at the supermarket on the way home on Tuesday and kiwifruit were 8 for $2.00, so I couldn't help myself and had to make some kiwi fruit jam
now to find someone to help eat it!!
I have been sewing and knitting, I will update on the next post.
Happy sewing.

ReplyDeleteHello Sue,
ReplyDeleteYou are quite the traveler. Love the photo of your dog. Enjoy that jam, prices of Kiwi fruit go up and down like a yo-yo.
Happy days.
Bev.
Beautiful pictures! Kiwi are much more expensive here in Japan.
ReplyDeleteYour garden is looking beautiful Sue.Love the roses in your first pics ... mine are slow to bloom this year - must be all the cold weather. Your Jam looks rather delish.
ReplyDeletelovely pics of your gardens Sue... enjoy that jam... glad I'm not the only one always playing catch-up!
ReplyDeleteLucky you off to retreat, it looks like you have plenty to keep you busy sewing... you could put a pieced row in above the baubles to look like they are hanging off a shelf perhaps? Nana used to put Raspberry essence (or something, not sure what) in her Kiwifruit jam, with the kiwifruit seeds it looked like Raspberry Jam which in her mind was a lot more desireable - she lived in the BOP so I think Kiwifruit became a little ordinary!! Happy Sunday :-)
ReplyDeleteyou are getting yoiur garden to work for you. I wonder if your fig tree will bear well for jam - it is the very nicest of jams in my view!
