hubby set up and ready to go
in the window of the quilt ahop was this fabric and it looked like chowchow puppies,
the fabric is upside down so I am sorry the photo is too.
there was a huge selection of fabric for childrens quilts
one of the lovely old buildings
old bricks on the side of a building I wonder what the words said,
This made me giggle. ..I think we need one!!
Yes!! I knew there was a good reason for drinking beer!!!
love the lace work on this building
some interesting graffiti on a building that is being refurbished
the court House, love the gates!!
the old Commercial Bank building
and the main reason I was here...was to meet the lovely Dzintra!!! I was going to drive to her place but it was too far to go there and back in the time I had, so we met half way in Braidwood. We have lunch in the Albion Cafe which was great and talked non stop. I am so happy to have met another wonderful blogging friend. Thank you Dzintra for coming to meet me, I had a great time.
Looks like a gorgeous spot, I love old buildings too. How wonderful to meet Dzintra. So glad you are having a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteYou really want to go to Braidwood the last weekend of November. That is when they have the airing of the quilts, quilt show and on the Saturday there is a great market held in the park on the top of the main street. The Anglican church in one of the back streets, the Masonic lodge and the Scout hall also hang quilts.
