I used up left over bits of binding from other quilts
Then I started on the binding for the hexie quilt
I stopped part way through as I remembered I wanted to put on a hanging sleeve and it is a little easier to machine sew it on one side. So the sewing has stopped for the time being. I did some hand sewing on the I Spy quilt last night as it was cooler and I didn't mind having a quilt over me.
I visited a local friend yesterday for a catch up and she and her hubby have had a rough Christmas time with health issues...goes to show we never know what is around the corner and should enjoy each and every day with our family and friends.
Good to get some quilts out and finished. We need to treasure the time we have with family and friends. Things can change so quickly and we always wish we saw more of each other. Have fun with the binding.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful progress on quilt finishing! I agree with you about not knowing what's around the corner and it is important to enjoy time with family and friends.

ReplyDeleteSuch a great feeling to complete a wip! Yes we never know what someone else is going through do we.
ReplyDeleteThose projects will be lovely to finish especially your gorgeous hexie quilt. Could you so the binding around the other edges leaving the top edge? I have soooo many things to complete but the baby things are a priority. Sorry to hear about your friend' s problems. Things like that always makes us think about our own lives and how precious quality of life is. You and David have been through quite an ordeal yourselves! May this year bring an abundance of many good things.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. It has been hot lately, hasn't it?
ReplyDeleteThat's great Sue....nice to get some finishes. Yes life can challenge you when you least expect it.
