Today

has been a lovely sunny day, I tried covering a nice big fig with an onion bag this morning, checked it this afternoon to find something has had a chew through the onion bag!! I will have to try something with a smaller mesh!!
I have been into Geelong today to the Bellarine Sewing Centre to see what they have on sale, and to meet up with Mrs Perry, aka Tracee,   there are some nice fabrics on sale but not the store wide sale I was told it was going to be. I still managed to make some purchases though
backing fabric for the clamshells, fabric for the dignity quilt we are doing at the Guild, and a cute pattern for glasses cases..none of which were on sale!!

I also bought this panel with the idea (Tracee's ) of making them into toys
we  had lunch in Geelong

then had a wander down to look at one of the bollards

on the way back to the car we spotted this painting on the side of a building...isn't it amazing?
Back home to reality now, dinner to be cooked and I am running late again!! Woops!!
Happy sewing.

  1. Nice to have a partner in crime. Love your loot and the panel is lovely. I thought those bollards were wonderful when we were there. How fabulous is that artwork! Looks like your birds are determined for a fig dinner x

  2. Hello Sue,

Oh my I do love that panel, great artwork too on the building. So if the fabric that you bought wasn't on sale that definitely means you can go back and get some that is on sale! Good luck with the fig situation.

    Happy days.

  9. I am hoping that your fig tree has enough fruit for both you and the birds - it sounds like it's tricky to keep them away!! Nice little shopping spree and lovely to have an outing with a friend :-)
