FNWF happenings

I had a busy evening along with many other virtual sewers..

a little more work was done on the tram lady

the background is done and the palm tree, the tram is just placed not sewn on as yet, I had to make sure I had covered the background properly and then as the football was on the TV....(it is only Feb for goodness sake!!!!!)...I retired to the sewing room again and made

binding for the Christmas row by row quilt.
I have been sewing today at Portarlington with a few of the Bellarine ladies, I had hoped to get the quilting and binding on the quilt but that was not to be
the quilting went well until I did the brown section (not to be seen here) and I stretched it, so i will be unsewing later on!!
Leslie had put together this top from using scraps cut into three inch squares!!

Angela was working on a QFO and had it finished by the end of the day

I stopped on the way home to enjoy the sun and the beach, this dog was having a great time digging under the water and barking like mad at the clouds of sand!

Such a beautiful afternoon.
I am off to do some unsewing and maybe some sewing too and to put the roast on...silly meal for today, when you think about it,  as it is about 32 deg C here !! I hope the forecast cool change gets here soon.
your can see what other FNWF'ers got up to over here at Cherylls

  3. It might be a silly meal to cook but it is an easy one which gives you time to sew.
I didn't realise your bollard was so big

  7. Your tram lady is fantastic! I just read back in your blog and see that it is a joint project with your hubby and it is painted on fabric. But I wonder what inspired you to do a tram lady? Lovely day at the beach! :)

  8. Such an interesting project Sue. A roast on a hot day, sometimes you just feel like it! I've had a hankering for banana cake for a couple of days so I have just popped one in the oven!
