Today

has been a day of bits and pieces, it has been humid here, but now a storm is coming through. This morning I was busy in the kitchen
Another brew of tomato chutney and some plum sauce, the house still smells good!
The sky was interesting this morning.
I have fixed the binding on the hexie quilt, is already to do the hand sewing.
This afternoon I made two little fairly plain blocks for the Quilts of Hope group. They will go in the mail tomorrow.
I also have been playing with Tim Holtz fabric to make a roll of tickets for my tram lady, they are a little big but I think they will be ok, I am still wrestling with the knitted bootie she is holding, I made a premmie size one but it is too big, looks way out of proportion.....so have to think on that some more.
The tram is sewn onto the backing, ready for the tram lady to join it.
Off to do some more playing.
Happy sewing.

  1. I agree, you have been busy! The hexie quilt and the tram lady are my favorites of your projects, but if I could smell the plum sauce and chutney, they might be favorites too.

  10. It's interesting reading back through these posts (catching up!) and seeing the progress on your tram lady - very cool indeed and I look forward to seeing it when it's done - it will be amazing! I see you are still bottling - well done you - we've made one batch of chutney and that is all so far..we haven't had a good season fruit wise, hopefully the autumn will give us a bit more. Love that sky - I wonder if it will break the heat a little?
