FNWF results

I was happy with what I got done on Friday night, I managed to start a little earlier in the late afternoon and
I finished off the outside cover of a laundry bag to go with an Aussie Hero quilt, front,

And back.

Joined some wadding to go on the baby quilt following Fiona's method on her blog, and I am pleased to say it has sewn together without puckers or stretching.

I have done the quilting on most of this Aussie Hero quilt, just simple quarter Inch outside the seams quilting

And made this insert to go in the Spiderman cushion, it will be a weighted cushion for #1 son to use at work, but I think I have made it too big so will do some altering today.
I didn't have any time to sew yesterday as there was a meeting at Seachange and then another comittee meeting in Geelong for the Guild. We were notified on Thursday by the Geelong Council that the venue we have booked for the Quilt In will not be available.....so now the panic is on to find another venue...nice of them to tell us two weeks before the event. We have 2 options so hopefully by Monday we will have a venue and can start letting people know the change of address.
While at the Seachange meeting a table of fabric was put out as a fundraiser for the Biggest Mornign Tea and I just had to come home with this little lot
I have some plans for this lot, long term plans but at least some plans!! 😀
To see what the other FNWF'ers were working on you can pop over to Cheryll's our wonderful host.
Happy sewing.

  1. I like the easiness of this quilt. What size blocks have you used.

Glad my funny way worked for joining.... I find it easier to have them held especially with longer pieces...
