Yesterday I was working on the Christmas blocks, nine quilted, three to go, then some more painting to come
Off I went past the boat launching ramp, the pelicans were waiting for the returning fishermen
I got ot the pier and decided to keep going, the aim was to get to the spit of land in the distance..it is 3km away.
made it, and this is the view looking back to St Leonards.
On the other side of the Indented Heads boat launching ramp is the camping ground and the wreck of the old paddle steamer.
When I got home I had beetroot face again, but managed the 10.21km round trip so was pretty happy with myself. Once I got home I changed shoes and went over the road and had a swim...was cold to get into but so refreshing once I got in.
Having finished a few chores now I am heading back to do some more free range quilting.
Happy sewing.
Hiya Sue, Gosh I do hope your Mum is okay. I have just returned from taking my Mum home (again). Hope your cold soon passes by too ... its annoying when we get them in the warm weather. I know I say this all the time, but its such a pretty & picturesque place you live in Sue.
ReplyDeleteSorry to read about your mom and your cold. The photos look great. What a beautiful place!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to read about your Mum - hope she is soon much better, and that you get over your cold. It certainly didnt stop your cycling - what a great place for a cycle ride. xx
ReplyDeleteSorry about your mum, always a worry when you're here and she's far away. You're very good cycling so far, but it's a great place for it. Hope the cold goes away soon. That water looks so inviting!
ReplyDeleteYou are in such a great place to enjoy the beach. A lovely swim finishes off your day well.
ReplyDeleteI do hope that your Mum mends quickly. Such a worry for you. You must be fit with all your walking too. Your Christmas blocks are coming up a treat XX
ReplyDeleteI"m sorry to hear about your mum Sue but pleased that she is recovering. And hope you get over your bugs quickly too :-) YOur Christmas blocks are looking really good - you have quite a pile of them there! I know I've said it before, but what a great spot you live in! Good on you with the epic bike ride in spite of the beetroot face xx
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear your Mum is on the mend as are you I hope? A cold dip in the water surely would have got the blood pulsing! Lovely Christmas blocks, happy free range quilting!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear your Mom is on the mend - hope you are too - I'm sure the exercise chased it away!!! I love your Christmas blocks and wish I could look close up and see the detail... why is our country so big - I could just pop over?

Love those Christmas blocks! I do hope your Mum is feeling much better now and you are getting over the cold too.
ReplyDeleteGood exercise! That's over six miles here, and I don't know that I could do that - well I couldn't bike it since I can't ride a bike any more, but I'm not sure I could walk it these days, either! Good for you. I hope your mother is better now, and your cold has departed.
