This and that...hefty with photos

Here I am having another catch up! I have been up in Melbourne helping Eve this last weekend, we have been to a card (postcard, cigarette card) fair where I was the gopher for Eve, had walks along the beach, sewing days..the usual kind of thing.
Morning walk along the beach

Lovely scallop shell

Maybe this is not a visitor as I assumed...he/she is back

the sky looks heavy today
The beginnings of an Aussie Hero quilt

and I got this far....the theme is shark!! Hubby thinks I should take away his extra tooth..what do you think?

I went on a bike ride down Cliff Road and returned books to the free library and brought home a couple more!
while I was out I also saw this...quite appropriate foe the day I thought!!

We have had some beautiful sunsets, the camera didn't really pick up all the colour, it looked much more intense in real life.

the supervisor took up a guarding role as I was sandwiching the clam shells

pinned and ready to quilt
No photos but I spent the weekend with Eve, gardening and taking her to a card (think postcards and cigarette cards) fair.
When I got home BOM #4 was waiting

yummy fabric

and all the supplies I needed.
A bit of expertise should have been included for me too, as I had three attempts at fussy cutting a hexie today......mmmmm
Today also was Bellarine Quilters day

Madga has been working on the raffle quilt for our Exhibition later in the year, the embroidered squares were donated to the group, it is looking a bit special.

Irene showed us her Bargello quilt

Judy had a lovely mini she made for a friend who had dimentia

Jan showed us a QFO she has made

Mary was working on the binding for her Japanese fabric quilt.

These blocks are Natalies, she and Mary are doing a Jen Kingwell BOM, they look amazing and quite different as each has put their own fabric in as well as what comes with the BOM.

and I managed to get three hexie sets done for Doing the Rounds..imagine how many I could have done if I could cut out properly!!
We are having shepherds pie for dinner, so I had better go and get it started or we will not be eating!
Have a great week.
