Wild and windy

The weather has been super windy today, a few rain showers but no storms as was predicted.
Yesterday..

I went for a walk along the Bellarine Rail trail and the weather was quite different! I was looking for geocaches, found 2 out of four...one on my way back, I am not sure how I missed it in the first place!

I passed this marker post at one stage G = Geelong, Q = Queenscliff and D = Drysdale.

this grasshopper  kept flying in front of me, so I tried to sneak up for a photo, it had beautiful yellow wings,
this morning however was a different story..
when the Supervisor and I went for a walk, the wind was howling and a few spots of rain fell

Last night I sewed together rows of knitted squares for a KOGO blanket, with the winter fast approaching there will soon be a demand for these.
Today I have made a table runner using a panel from NZ, I have to hand sew the binding. I have free range quilted around the birds and ferns.

and the coasters are finished. Quite like these so I might make some more.
It is cooling down here so I need to go and get some slippers I think..my feet are getting cold!
Happy weekend.

I always love seeing where you go! You have a variety of stitching projects. How big are the coasters? I want to make some too!

Lots to do and see! Love the table runner, such pretty birds. Your coasters have given me an idea. Will have to get the Accuquilt out.
The Kogo blanket is a good idea. I should learn, how to knit beanies.

We have had the biggest dust storm. You'll have to try again for the other 2 geo caches...

Oh, I forgot you are going into winter. Your weather is a lot like mine, but no ocean here, and the winds are high, but not howling ... yet. LOL I am always jealous that you have those wonderful places to walk, and I don't. LOL Your table runner is beautiful! I like the cute coasters, too. Are they a present for someone or for your family? The Kookaburra in the Santa hat is funny and cute.
