On the move

This week seems to have involved lots of driving! Yesterday hubby and I went up to Harcourt, hubby has done this trip many times but missed the turnoff and so we had a bit of a tiki tour getting to where we needed to go!! It took us an hour and a half longer to get there yesterday. I have to go with hubby these days as he finds the driving too tiring for him. Once we got there hubby got to the job in hand which was cutting the grass around a memorial to his Dad and three other of his dad's and hubby's friends.
Bit of a delay finding a branch broken off the gum tree

plaque

my view while having lunch.
On the way home we found a few geocaches (hubby was not keen but cooperated)

this one nearly put us both off..it got a good poke with a stick before being lifted out of the tree stump!!

we stopped for another cache near Mount Franklin, we camped here many years ago. There is a camp site in the centre of the old volcanic cone.

another weather change on the way home.
While  we were out I had a call to say Joan the quilter had finished my quilts..

This panel has been waiting to be free range quilted for 5 months...I took it to Joan and now it is done!!

this is a very dark photo, taken last night, but the quilts look fantastic quilted, hope to start the binding today.
Also,
Some fabric has been cut for another fat quarter quilt, am using more than 5 this time to make it a little bigger
I am off to bind.
