Doing the Rounds

I have been working on this quilt top this afternoon, I have ironed it as much as I can, then pinned on the bias pieces and a few circles
my concern now is that it does not sit flat, I am hoping that has something to do with it being on the rug.......fingers crossed!
Happy stitching.

  1. gosh what a lot of work there Sue... and it looks just lovely. Try a little spray of water over the top, sometimes that can just bring in the fabric enough to lie flat...

  3. Its looking SOooooo gorgeous Sue. I love it & adore the fabrics & design. I can't help you out with the not-sitting-flat dilema as am not a quilter but maybe one of the girls can offer suggestions?

  4. It is looking amazing. I am not much help either as I have never attempted a circular project xx

  5. Very pretty! You have many bias seams going in all directions I would think it would be very difficult to avoid this problem. I would suggest when it comes time to quilt use a batting with some loft to it, this will help ease the fuller areas.

  7. It is gorgeous! I am sure it will be okay with another iron and laying on a flat surface. I can never seem to iron my projects properly. I always seem to still have creases lol. Maybe some starch? I would try it on the back though.
