Working away here

I spent an afternoon cutting, Sandi very kindly loaned me her Go Cutter, made the cutting super quick.

Photos from walks yesterday and today

Thru Edwards Point

Back along the beach. The rough weather has pushed up lots of seaweed.
and several sea urchins, hollow shells, I checked!!

The laid out strips so far (this morning) for an Aussie Hero quilt

I have spent the afternoon CAREFULLY sewing the strips together and realised the flag is upside down!! AGGGGHHHHHH!!

Guess what I am doing now???
Better get back to it.
Have a great evening.

Lol , that'd be right. Just when you think you have done a great job it all goes kaput. Happy reverse stitching😄😄😄

Your upside down reflects the state of the world just now, all topsy-turvy. Sorry you had to unpick and resew. Australia is called down under! But is looks fantastic. Great walk on the beach, love those sea urchins. Hugs, Valerie

love the go cutter - it does waste a bit but still very useful.
a picture is very handy for spotting mistakes! grrr.

Glad you picked up the upside down flag before you got much further in the quilting. A soldier will certainly be very happy with their new quilt.

I would love one of those for felt cutting. Some beautiful shots of your walk. Despite the unpicking it's a beautiful quilt xx

Don’t you hate that! It will be worth fixing. It must have been fun seeing all the bits and bobs washed up on your walk.

Arrgghh with the unpicking but good you spotted it sooner rather than later! The quilt's going to be gorgeous. The go-cutters do save a lot of time don't they? Nice walks along the beach - a new view every day!
