We had a lovely couple of days staying in Ramsay with Carol, we had a walk around the local town and saw the remains of the Abbey, sadly not much left now
Some was taken down for the road to be put through. The gatehouse is open sometimes but not today.

Just over the back fence is one of the last two remaining Mortuary Chapels...a place the deceased could be brought to and viewed from behind a glass window, used when the person had had something infectious.

Lovely detail on an old headstone.
