We had a bit of a sit and wait in the airport at Brunei but the flight from there to Dubal was great, even got a little sleep. Our introduction to Dubai was not so good, a young man approached us as we left the airport...we must have looked like real tourists and wanted to get his taxi for us... he quoted us a price which we thought was way over the top but he had taken our trolley and we had to follow him, after 20 mins of waiting and nothing happening except him shouting into his phone we lost patience and hailed another taxi...it cost us a fraction of the price he was asking from us!!!! Cheeky bugger!!! We were so happy to get to the hotel and get some sleep!!! The next day we loafed around, had lunch in our room, stored I our luggage at the hotel and set off to get the on and off bus around Dubai. It was supposed to take 3 hours all up but took just over 5...was very happy when we finally got off!!!! The tour mostly went past huge shopping centres...and most of the buildngs appear to be new and huge..the train system is new, only 70km so far but has 47 stations so no one has to walk far in the heat.
