looking for footpaths.

Yesterday we went off to find the Portsmouth Arundel canal....there is a 15 mile walking track alongside the canal with geocaches along it...well we drove around and around in circles, thank goodness for round abouts, but found it very hard to find...eventually we stopped by an old church, turned on the gps and found there was a caxhe within 5 metres....finally found that....hint was jnder the ivy on the wall...mmmmm   many walls covered with ivy here!!!! Eventually it was found and we wandered on along narrow lanes....we finally found a space to park and walked down what appeared to be a farmers driveway...there was a sign saying keep to the footpaths and not to walk in the fields...so thats what we did and eventually found four caches...only required climbing through a barbed wire fence once!!!
this is what is left of a bridge that we assume went over the canal...we could knly find a ditch on the side of the paddock....canal must be long gone...

wandering back to the car...
on the way back we stopped at
Bracklesham Bay to look for fossils,  but the tide was in too far, so we couldn't  get to the sandbank where they are.
