I have done a little more quilting on the mosaic
one face done, one to go
you can sort of see where I have been stitching! Sometimes it is hard to see the thread, the invisible thread really is invisible!!
Today at sewing I was given some figs..we didn't get any from our trees, the birds got them all, but I have tried to make fig and ginger jam
at the moment it looks too runny and the fruit and liquid have separated, but it tastes good!!!We will see what happens when it cools down, hubby very helpfully suggested we can have it as fruit salad if it does not set!!
Time to go and do a little more quilting I think.
Happy sewing.
wow sew many tiny pieces!
ReplyDeleteThe mosaic is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI wondered what the technique was for doing the photo piece - first of all I thought you were sewing all those pieces together - whew I'm glad you didn't have to do that! The jam looks good - it would also be yummy over icecream!
ReplyDeleteYour mosaic looks amazing, yummy jams or deserts :)
ReplyDeleteThat mosaic of yours looks amazing Sue - you do such detailed intricate work, you are so clever. Your jam looks rather yummy too.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving watching the mosaic taking place.... I use that invisible thread in quilting quite often.. it's great even if hard to see where you've been.
ReplyDeleteFig jam doesn't last long... yummo

ReplyDeleteWell done making your preserves, cant beat homemade.
Hope your day is a good one Sue.
I am in total awe of your boys captured in fabric! So clever. Yummy jam there.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it take forever to stitch all those rows. The end rules are so worth all that time...
ReplyDeleteAre the squares on your mosaic just on top and you stitch them down like freemotion quilting? Anyway it looks great!
