Road trip

After spending less that 24 hours at home I was back on the road and back to Tullamarine where I met up with Raewyn. We stayed at a hotel at the airport and this morning headed off up the Hume highway.  We were supposed to turn off onto the Goulburn Highway but I missed the turn off, so we continued on up the Hume.  Never let a missed turn spoil a good road trip!!
We stopped at a road side rest stop for a comfort stop and then I discovered there were 2 geocaches, one at each end of the rest area. One was in an area with lots of black boy plants, I will have to add a photo later as they are on my camera.

Raewyn and I just worked out how to get the photos from the camera to the tablet here...wonders of modern technology!! Not much helped by tired brain!!!
A spot of geocaching.

We stopped at Holbrook for lunch and then carried on to Gundagai where a compulsory stop was needed for a photo of the Dog on the Tucker Box.
Thanks to Raewyn for the photo.

And a photo with the koala!! 😊

Raewyn perfected the NSW backwards parking manoeuvre in one go, I was most impressed!!

We arrived into Forbes around  6pm on just the fumes in the petrol tank I think, never been that close to empty before!!

Some knitting was done in the car today, not in the mood for it tonight, just blog reading and lolling about.
Off to Baradine to meet the lovely ladies tomorrow!!
Woohoo!!

  4. What fun! I've never run out of gas before, but I've come close and it always scares me. It scares me just reading about it. You and your friends are very adventurous!
