This and that

Yesterday I decided to make another EPP carry bag with the wonderful fabric Susan sent me.
chowchows on the outside

and on the inside. Lots of bags to hold the fabric and

I got to the bottom of the box of toilet paper and found the most important roll!!

Down in the garden the birds/fruit bats/possums have been at the figs

munching away at the nearly ripe ones

The laundry washing bags are protecting some of the nearly ripe fruit. This afternoon Ingrid and I went out and picked a bowl full of nearly ready figs, I can see some fig and ginger jam coming soon.

The tram lady is finally on the wall.

I have done the quilting I am going to do on this quilt, next to trim the blue edges off and maybe use that for the binding. We shall see.
Happy stitching.

  2. You used the doggy fabric for a great useful project...
Oh how annoying the wildlife gets to eat most of the ripe fruit before you can pick it..
Sounds like a nice jam can be made from the figs you got to pick.
    Lovely donated Quilt you finished...

  3. A busy day! That's a great way to use Susan's fabric. Your figs look delicious - ours are only half the size but still edible. The tram lady looks happy to finally be up on the wall :-) Love the Winding Ways quilt.

  4. I made a lot of those bags a few years ago. We call them Busy Body bag. Children can fill them up with things they want to bring to the whomever waiting room, or grandma's place, or anywhere. I never thought of using them myself but I will! Thanks. Love your quilt. Enjoy! ;^)

  17. "Who gives a crap" made me smile :-) It is so appropriate, even if our priorities are so misplaced. The EPP bag is adorable and I wish I was a bird in your garden. I cannot imagine how divine those figs must taste - fresh from your garden. Sending hugs and stay well wishes.
