Ahhhh

Don't you just love computers!! Mine has just told me I have run out of storage space in Google photos, I don't even know what google photos is, but I need to buy more space apparently and because of that I can only upload three photos to my blog today. I have spent the last hour deleting photos from google photos, but still I do not have enough space. My next move is to turn of the computer give it a chance to catch up with itself and try again!! Oh the joys!!
I have been doing some secret sewing the last couple of days which I can't share, but I can share this.
I made a table runner in the week, I should have been doing many other things but this was what I felt like doing! Ingrid gave me this fabric, a pack of charm squares I think she got in the US, it is from Cotton and Steel and the range is called Kaikoura. Kaikoura is in the South Island of New Zealand and is well know for its whale tours, hence the fabric is all things fishy.

A few octopus's the computer wont let me write octopii which sounds more fun to me!

Here it is on the dining room table.
Ok that didn't work, I will leave this post here and try to come back and edit later.
Happy stitching.

  1. That doesn't sound like good news to me. I download all my photos from phone, or camera, onto computer, using Picaso, and export the ones I want for my blog into a blog photo file on my desktop and then use those in my blog. After using blogger since 2011, have never had that message, so hope you get it sorted.

  2. Lovely handwork again. Google and computers are a world of their own. I post lots of pics but have never run out of space. But I do reduce the pixel size of all photos before uploading them, if pictures are less than 1MB Google doesn't count them. Hugs, Valerie

  3. I have the same problem with uploading photos...now and again. Sometimes I'll get that notice and it will only let me upload 2 or 3 at a time. Today I uploaded 6. I presumed it was something to do with my phone and deleted and cleared a few things. We've got blogger annoyingly changing its rules and now this!

  5. I have to email my photos one at a time to my post draft. I then copy and paste them into one post and edit the writing. It takes a bit of time but I don't need google/cloud storage. I can then delete them off my iPad and they stay on my post. That's why I print my books so if google disappears I still have a copy.

  7. I can't help you with google photos - mine are stored on my laptop - but I think the fish fabric is fun - and I love the sky in your blog header.

  8. Great table runner. Too bad we can only have three pictures of it. You might have to go to the archive and delete some. The address is
    https://get.google.com/albumarchive
    Good luck with that. ;^)

  9. Gosh I hope you get the photo uploading figured out Sue ... google can be such a pain sometimes. That table runner is stunning. Having stayed in Kaikoura for my friends 60th birthday I can vouch that it is definately very much all like those fabrics & all the amazing underwater life.

  12. Our photos used to be stored in Picasa but now they are in google photos for our blog . If you delete photos from there you usually delete them from your blog post also I think. Didn't know it could be filled but I don't know the storage limits.......

  13. Wonderful tablerunner! I have issues with iCloud being full. I don’t want to pay for additional storage, but I don’t know how to delete the cloud photos to free up space.

  14. You shouldn't run out of space on google. I reduce mine to 900 pixels on the long side (in a free download called photoscape.org ) and have never had a problem. I hope it gets sorted for you soon.

  15. Arrghh grr - how google works is a big unknown to me, although I use it all the time!! I have managed to bypass their photo storage thing but don't know how - I remember I had that problem a few yeas ago. I love the runner - lovely and simple but very effective. Interesting name/theme for the range!!
