What did I get done? Well I finished all the Schoolgirl Sampler blocks, joined them together and tried to sew them onto the quilt top and they didn't fit, they just didn't want to play nice, so they are in a corner until I want to face them again.
On the way home I had a visit to the specialist and was told my iron levels and blood count are low, so I was sent over the road for an iron infusion, hopefully in the next few days I will be bursting with energy and not tired all the time.
I am off to do some hand stitching
Happy stitching.
Good idea to put Schoolgirl Sampler aside as you've done lots of reverse sewing lately..
ReplyDeleteDo hope the infusion has made you feel energetic again....
Love the schoolgirl samplers, they're gorgeous. Hope you are now top fit and will stay that way! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteAn iron infusion. I've never heard of that. Hope you're soon bursting with all that energy
ReplyDeleteI hope the sampler blocks will learn their lesson in the corner.... good to get your iron up.... can be very tiring....

Oh no..... Goodluck getting the school girl sampler together.....
ReplyDeleteHope you have some new energy soon....
I hope that by leaving the Sampler Blocks in the corner for awhile - they sort themselves out & fit for you Sue!! So Sorry to read your iron levels were low but hope the infusion makes you feel much energised. Take care Sue xx
ReplyDeleteOh no! So sorry to hear that about your beautiful Schoolgirl Sampler blocks. I am sure an idea will come to you soon to make them all play together. I do hope the infusion will make you energetic soon.

These blocks are so pretty. Hope they behave themselves the next time you take them out.
ReplyDeleteThose blocks deserve the "naughty corner" until they decide to play nicely. How annoying. Hope you are back on track soon.
ReplyDeleteOh how frustrating! Maybe that boost of iron will help you face them again. Good luck. xx
ReplyDeleteOh I hope you get those iron levels elevated. Low iron makes you so tired all the time for sure!
ReplyDeleteDarn those school girls! How dare they come in different sizes! My advice, not that you are asking for it, is to get back to them right away and figure it out or you will have a UFO on your hands. I had to do that recently with Windmill. It is done because I pressed on.
Walking away from the blocks for a little while is a good idea, especially if you are feeling run down. Once you full of energy again it will be time for putting your mind to setting them right. I reckon you will make them look beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHope your blocks work out for you next time and are you bouncing off the wall yet??
