Anglican Church
Once back at the cabin I decided to go for a walk around the Bluff
Mutton birds are supposed to be still in residence, apparently they smell really fishy, but I didn't hear or smell anything just saw their burrows
The track went around the edge of the golf course, this sign made me laugh
Then I wandered out to the boat ramp, had a chat to a couple from Hobart and saw these lillies
I passed this tree at the edge of the cemetery, there were parrots and other birds in it feeding on the flowers.
We spent a couple of hours by the water with David trying to teach me watercolour painting- now there is a challenge!! We had a relaxing afternoon. Lets see what tomorrow brings.
Happy stitching.

Such lovely photos and so much history. Your walk had some beautiful outlooks...maybe the Muttonbirds were out fishing. Glad you are having a lovely time xx
ReplyDeleteIt all looks lovely Sue. OK, so a bird named for a mammals meat that smells like a fish?? xx
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting place!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy seeing your photos and little added info. Enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteSue - loved the pictures of the ocean. In a little more than a month, we are headed to Grand Cayman, and I am imagining the sound and smell of the beach! Love the golf course sign! Were you strategic to not get any people in your photos, or was it truly that "quiet" around there? Thanks for visiting my blog - I do think the rabbit thought it was invisible!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I had to work out where you are lol. That will teach me only to look at blogs once a week! Looks like you are having a great time and lots of wonderful pics.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful old and new buildings. Loved the church. About what is the settlement time of this area?
ReplyDeleteSuch an interesting visit Sue. Nice to have the time to explore! We tried cooking a mutton bird once - it stunk Daryl's boss's house out! And was inedible. I understand they can be quite tasty!
