Working away today, have pieced the backing for the Union Jack quilt, I have used most of the gray and blue and am keeping the red for the binding...all the left over bits I had cut for the squares are in the back, it feels good to have used them. Now the kitchen bench has been called back into use!!
pinning is under way

and I have finished off two stitcheries, one has been waiting for a very long time in the drawer, the other not so long. So good to have them done.
Sad to hear there was another earthquake in Christchurch today, no damage that I have heard of, just a good shake, was 31km under ground. Hopefully all is ok.
Happy sewing.

Cute little stitcheries. Good luck on the quilting front. I think there will be some frightened Christchurch residents.

Yes I was concerned to see about the earthquake... poor NZ it really gets knocked about by these events!

The colours you have used in the Union Jack look great - that's a nice red...great progress too :-) Very cute wee stitcheries - well done on the finishes. Yes, I feel for the poor Christchurch residents too, haven't heard of any major damage or injuries thank goodness.
