My and Hugh's Dads were farmers, and with an essential service, one producing milk, and the other eggs from the poultry farm, stayed at home, but were in the " Home Guard". On Anzac Day morning, I was so proud to know our grandson, currently at Victoria University in Wellington, 3rd year BSC degree, with some of his friends, attended the Dawn Service. No matter how many times I see services from around NZ, I am always moved by the many who are there, the elderly, and lately,so many younger ones. Greetings from the Rangitikei.
Very nice photos
ReplyDeleteSo true Sue, it's thanks to those that served and those still serving for the freedom of life we have today,
