International Sisters

Yesterday I fired up and got sewing and finished eleven International Sisters blocks
Great NZ and Aus fabrics in these ones

All of the blocks together, I need to decide if I put in sashings or not, any suggestions?

I also made the back of a laundry bag for Aussie Hero's, now I need to decide what to put on the front.
Off now to do some more cutting.
Happy stitching.

  1. I love all your sisters with their hats Sue - they just look so great & all different but complimentary. Thats a great laundry bag - did you use a teatowel for it?

  2. I love all your sisters Sue. They all look so nice and friendly like that - if you added sashing they might look a bit aloof! xx

  3. Your sisters are fabulous. But I have no idea what sashings might be, so can't help you there. The laundry bag is off to a good start, too. Have a great September! Hugs, Valerie

  5. I love seeing your sisters Sue - very inspiring hehe. I think they look good with no sashing but you might like to lay a big light piece on the ground and lie them on it as if it was sashing and see what you think? Cool fabric for your AH laundry bag back!

  6. Like the others, not having seen a mock up of the sisters with a sashing I can’t really throw my two bob’s worth in. The Red Tractor tea towel is perfect for a laundry bag. Great design, perfect size and will wash really well.

  7. That’s quite a lot of sisters! It doesn’t take long for them to add up, does it? What if you arranged a diamond of them for a center, then put a smashing around the grouping, then surrounded the smashing with sisters, and so on?

  9. Love your sisters blocks, I think they look lovely as they are.
You might loose the effect of the block so if you separated them.
    Very pretty!

  10. Thought it IS nice to see them together, I think sashing so you can see each sister - the opposite of Marina. LOL I like KaHolly's smashing idea, too.

  12. P. S. Mosquitos don’t like lavender. Have any lavender scented lotion?
