Today

has been a beautiful day, sun shining, faint breeze, birds are singing and the mosquitoes are out in large numbers. I have been weeding the garden but after an hour and a half I decided enough was enough. I have a mosquito repellent bracelet but today it didn't do much repelling. Back inside now to make a cockatoo, well after doing this post!
The Supervisor and I on our wander this morning

Some gum flowers on a little gum tree

Locals checking out the real estate

and another one

These tiny green orchids are growing in the bush

One cockatoo put together, ready to iron in place. This will be the front of the laundry bag.

And because we haven't had enough!! This galah was giving the bird box the once over, some renovations are happening around the opening!!
Right I am off to create another cockatoo.
Happy stitching.

  2. Oh, I just love seeing pictures of your flora, fauna, and wildlife! I’d so love to be able to afford to travel to your little corner of the world. And I’m 'grooving' on your new Applique! It’s absolutely adorable! Will you hand or machine stitch it?

  8. When I first read that you were off to make a cockatoo, I thought for sure it was a typo, and you meant to say cocktail. Well. You really meant cockatoo. Gorgeous!
