Here is where we are today

The next Aussie Hero Quilt is ready for quilting
I made the blocks over the last two days and have done a bit of quilt as you go to get the sections together. The request was for Australia and green.

the Hotch  Potch quilt has it's borders and yesterday I joined fabric for a backing, I am hoping to sandwich and quilt today.
I have decided to take up the challenge from Susan of Desertsky Quilting to make a block a day for the month of December, or Advent, and then have blocks to put into a quilt during Christmas and New Year. Not sure how I will go but we can only try!! I know one week sewing will be non existent as we have a friend staying for a few nights, but maybe I can do more another day.
Susan has the pattern on her blog, you can make 8 inch or 12 inch blocks.
I was given two boxes of fabric recently so think I will use the fabric from there to make these blocks.
I had better off now and get to some sewing, it is very easy to just sit and fiddle around on the computer!

  2. Both quilt tops have turned out well. The block a day stitch along sounds like fun. I’m sure you will be able to get them done.
